    Specifications:
As a result of the 73rd and 74th amendments made to the Constitution, Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies have been granted constitutional status. To ensure the conduct of free, fair, and peaceful elections to these institutions, Article 243K of the Constitution of India provides for the establishment of a State Election Commission.
