The State Election Commission,Uttarakhand was constituted on 30th July, 2001 and since then the Commission has conducted ULB General Elections in the years 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018 and General Election for Gram Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat and Zila Panchayat in the years 2003, 2008, 2014 and 2019. Besides the above, the State Election Commission has also conducted District Planning Committee elections in the year 2010 and 2014.
The basic objective of this website is to provide relevant information regarding elections of PRIs and ULBs being conducted by State Election Commission and also about the functions of the State Election Commission itself. The website provides basic information about the organizational structure of State Election Commission including information related to RTI down to the district level. More importantly the relevant Acts and Rules according to the provisions of which the PRI and ULB elections are held are also uploaded on the website. It also provides important notifications and orders issued by us from time to time for benefit of all citizens.
The State Election Commission issues various directions for timely and error free preparation of electoral rolls. The final Electoral roll of ULB elections is also available on our website.
Over the years the State Election Commission has strived to conduct free, fair, and transparent elections to the local bodies which is the main mandate bestowed to it by be the Constitution of India. I hope this website will be useful in disseminating information to the administrators and the general public at large. Any valuable suggestions are welcome.
